Hyderabad:Phone-tapping case accused Shravan Kumar Rao of iNews, has approached the Telangana High Court seeking bail after he was arrested in a case of alleged fraud. The CCS police in Hyderabad had arrested Shravan Kumar on a complaint lodged by Akarsh Krishna, director of Akhand Infratech India Private Ltd, who alleged that the accused and his group had cheated his company of more than `6.58 crore in the name of purchasing iron ore.
In the bail petition, Shravan Kumar contended that the police had deliberately implicated him in the case with ulterior motives and arrested him. His contention was that the amounts due were paid to the company Acore Industries Pvt. Ltd for the supply of iron ore. The transactions related to such amount transfers were commercial in nature and for sale considerations. But, the police had registered a case of criminal breach of trust. He submitted to the court that he had nothing to do with Acore Industries.
