Actor suffers minor sprain amid heavy crowding on return from Delhi following Padma Bhushan honour

​Actor Ajith Kumar was hospitalized in Chennai on Wednesday after sustaining a minor leg injury at the airport. The incident occurred when a large crowd of fans and media personnel gathered to welcome him upon his return from New Delhi, where he had received the Padma Bhushan award.

According to sources close to the actor, the injury was not serious. Ajith was admitted to a private hospital for physiotherapy and is expected to be discharged later today. A source stated, "Ajith Kumar sir suffered a small injury in his leg when he was mobbed by a huge crowd at the Chennai airport. Hence, he had to be admitted for physiotherapy. The actor is likely to be discharged this evening. There's nothing to worry about his health."

Ajith Kumar had been in New Delhi to receive the Padma Bhushan from President Droupadi Murmu on Monday, in recognition of his contributions to cinema and sports. Upon his arrival at the Chennai airport, videos captured him being surrounded by enthusiastic fans and reporters, leading to the unfortunate incident.
