Kurnool:A large quantity of gold has been seized during searches at the residence of AP SPDCL Allagadda deputy executive engineer, Ravikanth Chowdary.

The ACB said, “Acting on credible information that he possessed assets disproportionate to his income, our sleuths led by DSP Somanna, held a raid on his house l in Rythu Nagaram on the outskirts of Nandyal town on Tuesday.”
During the searches, the ACB uncovered a stock of gold, bonds, ownership documents of multiple house plots, an apartment in Kurnool and a house in Nandyal, valued at over `1 crore.
A bank locker in the name of Ravikanth’s wife, Himabindu, was identified and sealed. Upon inspection, the locker was found to contain 41 varieties of gold ornaments weighing 2.825kg. The locker key has been seized and investigations are on. Officials said more searches would follow.
